Mental Health & Addictions

The mental health and addictions program offers a youth mental hygiene program, an Opioid Stewardship Study, the use of telemedicine to conduct mental health or tele-psychiatry sessions and self-help programs.

About Mental Health & Addictions

The Mental Health and Addictions program offers a safe space for youth to talk via our youth mental hygiene program, a place to conduct virtual mental health or tele-psychiatry sessions for both adults and youth, a place to receive information on resources and programs such as Big White Wall and Bounce Back, and an Opioid Stewardship Study for pain management.

YOUTH MENTAL HYGIENE

This program connects youth to a nurse and a nurse practitioner who provide the youth and their families with strategies for mental wellness.

OPIOD STEWARDSHIP STUDY

This study is available to specific individuals who are currently taking opioids to manage non-cancer pain. In collaboration with a telepharmacist through video conferencing, a plan will be developed to successfully manage pain while decreasing the need for large amounts of opioid analgesic.
